inspiration

i've been inspired to blog. too bad the inspiration might be useless since i really dont have anything to blog about. so i'll just write about random things that pop into my head - the way true blogging should be done :p.

laura hou got a new puppy named brooklyn and i'm her godmother! i'll try to post a picture latter but just know that she's adorable and has golden fur.

ever since i got back to houston i spend about 65% of my time vegging out in front of my computer chatting, surfing the web, and WATCHING TV SHOWS. man, i discovered www.peekvid.com which is an awesome x10 website where u can watch all this stuff! so far i've hit up office, amazing race, gilmore girls, and newlyweds. i've also been getting terrible neck and back pains from vegging out on my bed :\ but i guess they dont hurt enough for me to move.

in one of the episodes of amazing race, these beauty queens had to eat camel meat. i bet you camel meat tastes like cow meat.

christmas shopping should not be a stressful event.

my grandma took our family out to dinner tonight. delicious chinese food. afterwards we went to the chinese supermarket next door. btw, why are there so many new chinese supermarkets popping out!? does that mean the classics like din ho, dynasty, and welcome will close? i guess that's how the economy and business works. anyways, we're going on a road trip to new mexico for skiing and i love road trips because my mom always lets us buy SNACKS! i <3 snacks. actually, i <3 snacking. two very different things.

i was thinking about my italian family today. they're an anti-religious family which is very very rare in italy where everyone is catholic. i remember how for the whole month i was there i never heard the name of God spoken once, however my italian mom and i talked about religion all the time. it's so interesting because my italian family completely spoke jesus to me by how they opened up their home and hearts to me. they are the most welcoming, loving, and opened to being loved people i know. it seriously boggles my mind the love i experienced with my italian family. (and i'm definitely not saying that people who arent christian arent capable of loving)

christmas at the castle

wozarts

women's ministry went to mozarts to hang out and chat. everyone wrote a question down and we all discussed them amongst ourselves. it was just a good time to talk and relate. weather and atmosphere was great too. my physical surroundings matter so much to me...

christmas party

we threw a christmas party for the international students. so much fun! i love holiday parties :p. anyways, the night was filled with card-making (first time i embossed, too cool.), decorating cookies, singing carols, reading the christmas story from the bible, and playing white elephant. it took us about 1 hour to play white elephant with 43 people - that is amazing huh?

leading an english corner has been a huge blessing this semester. it takes a lot of energy and motivation to get out of the apartment every tuesday at 2pm, but i always leave happy that i went. i wish you could meet all the people in my english corner because i love them so much! :)

tassle on the right

graduation was good :). thanks to all, especially my family, for coming to my graduation! the ceremony lasted for about 1 hour, not long at all (another reason to graduate in december). now that i'm writing about graduation, i'm confused about why i wasnt feeling anything that day. i wasnt sad or nostalgic or excited - i felt no emotion. it was like a regular day for me. the only thing i felt was nervousness bc i didnt wanna fall on my face when i walked across the stage :x. i guess i've been preparing myself for graduation so thankfully it didnt hit me on december 10, 2006 that "I'M GRADUATING!?". yeah, feels good to be done and i'm ready for whatever's next. i guess i'm just one of those types of people that move on kinda easy. either that or i just dont like to think about it, haha.
