the lees made a pit stop in austin before their drive to california. of course, the time was filled with food, friends, and more food. props to jon for inventing a way to capture shade for himself while we were eating outside. and no, we were not embarrassed.

i was hearing the marketing dept talk about their ACL preparations ever since i started working and kept on wondering if i could somehow get tickets. after much investigation and trying to make friends with the marketing dept, i got a ticket at 3pm on friday!

friday i saw: patty griffin (favorite show for sure), mates of state (2nd fav), jenny lewis (wasnt paying attention, just kept on thinking about wamu since she was playing on the wamu stage), n.e.r.d. (saw them from afar), and swell season (they played their famous song as their 3rd song which doesnt make sense to me).

sunday i saw: stars (only caught the end of their show), xavier rudd (bad seats and just kept on looking at the dust that was flying at us from the people walking by), okkervil river (beatles? jk), and tegan and sara (most entertaining show). i also got to try the popular chicken-avocado wrap that hudson on the bend's food booth has.

i'd like to end this post by thanking those that let me last-minutely tag along with you to ACL :)...
